One of the greatest cello concerto's in the entire repertoire as far as I'm concerned. An absolute masterpiece, and so original.

My sister went to school with Peter and remembering growing up hearing him practicing playing drums in their garage. Only have fond memories of you and you always behaved with honor. This is truly a nice piece 👌

I've just listened to the whole album. The program is attractive and brilliantly presented. Precise and vibrant sounds, unexpected harmonies, a lot of pianistic vigor. Some compositions (especially etudes) may be considered minor - anyway, they sound fresh (the word "dazzling" in the description above is fitting, too). The second part of the program includes Bacewicz's two seminal piano sonatas, and this is indeed great music (which definitely needs recognition).

I don´t even know how many loved ones i have given this wonderful CD to. If it does not wake you up, you´re dead. So varied, such humor, such exquisite musicality, so many surprises and on top of everything - beautifully compiled. These are just 3 shortened version of some of the pieces on the CD. If you make music like this, you certainly have not lived in vain! Thank you, Kari Kriikku and everyone involved, is the least I can say.
